Shoes

Today was a typical monday, Papa and Ky Bear day. We did our usual routine when it's our day, hang out during the morning and then either go somewhere after her nap or just go outside with the doggies until mama comes home. So nothing very interesting happened... until I was leaving for soccer.

As I was getting ready, I was running around the house, getting changed and putting things in my gym bag. While I was doing that, Kya was playing, trying to steal my gym bag and place it in the washroom while I wasn't looking. When I was ready to go, she noticed that I was leaving house and she started saying "shoes" because she wanted to come with me. She ran and found her shoes and brought them to the front door and said "papa, shoes" I tried to explain that it was only me going but she kept looking at me and saying "shoes" She even tried sliding her feet into her sandals. When she clued in that I wasn't going to help she picked up her shows and ran to Eva, yelling "shoes" all the way to the livingroom. Of course Eva told her that she wasn't going, but she was still wanting her shoes on. As she went to the livingroom I slipped out the door and waited on the other side. Kya realized that it was too late and ran back to the kitchen to find that I wasn't there anymore and started to cry. I heard it from the other side of the door. It just melted my heart... (I'm actually getting teary eyed writing this).

If you have kids I'm sure you have one specific moment like this where your heart melts and you just want to hug your child and never let them go. If you don't, I'm excited for you for when this moment happens. It's funny how you can love you family, your friends, your significant other, but when it comes to your kid(s), it's a whole new type of love.

Kya, when you can finally read this, I love you with all my heart, and you will always be my Ky Bear no matter what. Love you.

To my baby...

A Happy 4 Year Anniversary to the love of my life. Can't believe it's been only 4 years... time does fly. So much has happened in four years and more exciting things are happening in the near future as well. Thank you for putting up with me (which isn't really that much since I'm pretty good), thank you for being a great mother, a great listening, and a great friend. I love you and will continue to do so until I'm ka-poot.

Love you lots.
